What you’ll need:

Before you start unboxing and setting up your amazing new singing machine, make sure you have the following items:

• A computer - This can be a PC, Mac, laptop, iPad, iPhone or Android
• An internet connection
• Speakers - You can use Hi-Fi or TV speakers, external PC speakers or even an iPod dock speaker. 

Singing machine set-up: A step by step guide

We’re sure you’re going to want to get your singing machine set up as quickly as possible so you can start doing what you do best - sing! While the Lucky Voice singing machine kit does come with instructions, this step-by-step guide will help ensure everything has been explained in detail to help make the process as seamless as possible for you. 

Step 1: Unbox your singing kit

So you’ve got your Lucky Voice singing kit and are ready to unbox it? How exciting! In your singing kit, you’ll find everything you need to help you party like a rockstar. 

Firstly, you’ll find an instruction sheet to help you figure out how to put your singing kit together (but this guide is all you really need). You’ll also find a microphone mixer, a 5m microphone cable, headphone to phone cable as well as two headphone to headphone cables. 

Last, and certainly not least, you’ll unbox your metal-bodied dynamic microphone - the most important tool for any karaoke-singing star. On top of all this, each kit also comes with a voucher code for a month free singing subscription with Lucky Voice!

Step 2: Get the power connected

So first things first, you’ll need to connect your microphone mixer to a power source. To do this, you need to take the power cable and plug one end into the mixer and the other end into a power socket. Then, click the power button on the mixer to make sure it's working - a pink light should turn on. 

Step 3: Connect the aux cables

Now you’ll need to take the aux cable and plug one end into the headphone socket of your laptop, iPad or phone. The other end of the line must be plugged into the “music in” socket of the mixer. 

Step 4: Setting up the speakers 

You’ve almost got your singing machine set up! Only one more step to go. 

When setting up the speakers, you can choose between several sources, such as a Hi-Fi system, TV speakers, iPod dock or external computer speakers. 

For TV or Hi-Fi speakers, you’re going to need to get the red and white audio cables. Plug the red and white ends into the auxiliary section of your TV or Hi-Fi speakers. The other end of the audio cable must be plugged into the port of the mixer labelled “audio out”. 

If you’re working with external computers speakers or an iPod dock, you’re going to need to grab the auxiliary cable. Plug one end into the “audio out” port of the mixer and the other end into the aux socket of the speakers of the iPod dock. 

Step 5: Get your microphone ready

You’re now one step away from singing along to your favourite karaoke songs! To complete this step and get your microphone working, grab the microphone cable and plug the larger end of the cable into the microphone. Next, the other side of the cable must be plugged into the front port of the mixer labelled “mic one”. 

Now you’re not quite set yet - you still need to turn the music and microphone dials up. After that, you’ll want to activate your Lucky Voice account and voilá; you’re all set up and can start using your singing machine.
